Having completed the Mental Health First Aid course I now feel equipped to deal with an emergency situation and am aware of the more subtle signs of those who may be struggling with their mental health. Considering the prevalence of mental ill-health, I feel these are invaluable skills to have. I also picked up useful information for being proactive in managing my own mental wellbeing.

The case studies and videos of people retelling their experiences gave a fantastic insight into the reality of dealing with mental health crises. I now feel that if faced with an emergency situation, I have the tools and knowledge to manage it appropriately.

There was a blend of self-learning, discussion, and trainer-led learning. The instructors were knowledgeable, engaging and did a great job of managing the seriousness of the subject matter, but also keeping the training enjoyable and engaging. I highly recommend the course.
